Area VII strengthens grip
on secondary boys' events

Christopher Lirazan of the Ramonito Maravilla National High School in Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City, dominated the secondary boys' 200-meter run to capture his third gold in the meet and strengthen the hold of Area VII in high school boys' athletics of the 2012 Palarong Panlalawigan (Provincial Meet) at the Panaad Park and Sports Stadium.

The 17-year-old old sprinter, who will graduate from high school next year, won the gold earlier in 400-meter and 100-meter events and is expected to see action today in the relay events.

The second son of a policeman from Kabankalan City , Lirazan had been a consistent medalist in the Provincial Meet under the banner of Area VI before he opted to transfer to Bacolod City this year.

Bago beats La Carlota to
win bowling crown

Bago City bowlers ruled the Philippine Association of General Services Officers, Inc. Bowling Tournament at the Lopue's East Centre in Bacolod City .

The Bago City ball team headed by Jocelyn Go beat La Carlota, 29-488, to bring home the title and the top prize.

Playing for the champion squad were Rosalie Reyes, Merlyn Herida, Joe Ermeo, Aida Po, Matt Gaudite, Julio Garnica, Rene Bustamante and Quintin Supera.

Donaire returns home
