SP requesting space
for city vet's office
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

A resolution requesting the Bacolod City Mayor through City Administrator John Orola to transfer and allocate a portion of the City Hall space for the City Veterinary Office, was approved by the Sangguniang Panlungsod yesterday.

The resolution authored by Councilor Em Legaspi-Ang, said a City Veterinary Office has been established pursuant to Republic Act 7160, or the Local Government Code of 1991, in order to formulate and carry out measures to ensure the delivery of basic services on veterinary-related activities within the city;

It said the City Veterinary Office is operating without electricity for more than two years thereby paralyzing the delivery of effective and efficient basic services on veterinary–related activities to the people of Bacolod.

Thefts and other untoward incidents have occurred due to the poor security at the compound, the resolution said.*CGS
