Pontevedra gets new
female chief of police

Senior Inspector Rose Mary Picois back as police chief of Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.

Pico replaces Senior Inspector Vanessa Sonoy, also a PCO, who is pregnant and due to deliver her baby in April.

Police records showed that Pico used to be assigned as police chief of Pontevedra, when Board Member Jose Benito Alonzo was the town mayor.

Pico assumed yesterday the command of the Pontevedra Police Station, with the twin brother of Alonzo, Jose Maria, now the municipal mayor. * GPB
