Negros Occidental Board Member Nehemias de la Cruz yesterday d called on Central Negros Electric Cooperative officials to create a district in Don Salvador Benedicto town.

Despite the National Electrification Administration’s approval of the creation of a CENECO district in Don Salvador Benedicto town, the board of the cooperative has yet to act on the matter, he said.

The district is needed for DSB electric consumers to have proper representation on the CENECO board, he added.

He said it appears that politics is behind the non-creation of a DSB district.*CPG
