The State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association national games will be held at the Iloilo Sports Complex in La Paz district on February 19 to 25.

In a meeting with SCUAA officials, Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Sr.  agreed to lend the sports complex venue free of charge.

Defensor met with Dr. Benny Palma, president of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges, who said that 16 regions will  join the competition among the top athletes from SCUAA-member schools.

Palma said they have invited Ilonggo Sen. Franklin Drilon to be  the keynote speaker during the February 19 opening ceremony.

Up for grabs in the weeklong tournament will gold, silver, and bronze medals in basketball, softball, football, boxing, karatedo, sepak takraw, chess, among others.*PNA
