Slain man found
BY ADRIAN NEMES III

The body of a man believed to have been summarily executed was recovered beside the road in Sitio Kabutangan in Purok 12, Brgy. Alangilan, Bacolod City, at about 6 a.m. Saturday.

Station 5 chief, Senior Insp. Neil Exaltado, said they were informed about the body by bystanders and policemen were immediately sent to the area.

Initial investigation showed that the victim was found lying on his back and his hands were tied with packaging tape and a nylon cord. The man also sustained gunshot wounds near his nape and on his face.

Exaltado said that the victim was almost beyond recognition because of the wound on his face, believed to be caused by a 12-guage shotgun.

He also said it is also possible that the victim was killed somewhere else and his body was just dumped in the area because there were no visible signs of struggle in the place.

Nearby residents also told the police that they did not hear any commotion before the discovery of the body, Exaltado added.

Exaltado described the victim to be between 20 to 25 years-old, about 5 feet and 4 inches in height, and wearing gray T-shirt and long skinny pants and has curly hair.

Police recovered a cartridge of a 12-guage shotgun, an empty shell of a .45 caliber pistol and a coin purse with a necklace from the scene of the crime.

Exaltado said the victim is not from Brgy. Alangilan and Murcia town as no one was able to identify him. The body is now at the Alisbo Memorial Chapels.*APN
