Quake concerns from abroad

BUDDAI

Families and friends abroad called up about the effects of the strong earthquake – intensity 6.9 that hit the Visayas yesterday, including Negros Occidental.

I was at home and I thought it was just our dog “Babskie” who was running, when I realized what was happening and shouted “Linog! Linog (earthquake)!”

Thanks God it was only about 20 seconds and there were no huge damages.

Twins Fr. Raymond Asoy of Hinigaran Patiqui Parish Church and Fr. Rayman Asoy of Lupit Church celebrated their birthdays separately. Together with the traveler group, we attended Fr. Rayman’s birthday lunch. The thanksgiving mass at 10 in the morning, officiated by Fr. Raymond Asoy was attended by parishioners and relatives.

Before we left there was four tables full of green veggies such as okra, green beans, balatong, eggplants, and green leafy veggie for us to bring home.

The church is not yet finished, but thank God so many benefactors and supporters are helping.

To the twins Frs. Rayman and Raymon, more birthdays to celebrate and God bless.

Remember: The best things in life are those that fit within the purpose and plan of God. They may include wealth and prestige, but they may also include trials that God wants to mold us into becoming a humble servant.*
