SP okays add’l
incentives at Capitol

The 2,405 employees of the provincial government of Negros Occidental are getting an additional P18,000 each in cash incentives and anniversary bonuses, starting today.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental unanimously approved yesterday the 2012 supplemental budget number 1 of the province of P64,732,000 and supplemental budget of the Economic Enterprise Development Department of P31,328,681.

This was on top of the P45,000 in extra Christmas bonus and cash incentives received December last year by the Capitol employees.

Board Member Salvador Escalante, chairperson of the SP committee on Finance, who moved for the approval of the two supplemental budgets, said casual employees are also covered by the additional cash incentives.

The giving of additional cash incentives and anniversary bonus to each of the 2,405 Capitol employees came after the provincial government of Negros Occidental won again the Regional Gawad Pamana ng Lahi 2011 award for exemplary performance in administrative, social, economic and environmental governance, similar award to what they also won in 2009 and 2010. *GPB
