CFC gab set tomorrow

The Couples for Christ Area Governance Team of Negros will hold the on fire conference for leaders of CFC and family ministries at Mayfair Plaza, Bacolod City, tomorrow, a press release from the group said.

The whole day activity will start with a Holy Mass at 8 a.m. as the group continues its relief operations for earthquake victims in Guihulngan and La Libertad. Donations are accepted in cash or kind like food and water, the press release said.

For donations and contributions, interested donors may call 433-4718, the press release added.

The annual leader’s conference lays the basic direction for the year. This is an echo of the national leader’s conference held at the Araneta Coliseum in January, the press release added.*

Bago festivities enter day two

The celebration of  the 46th year of Bago City as a chartered  city  enters its second day with the continuation of a Regional Youth Camp today,  and live bands at the park tonight.

Tomorrow,  the city will sponsor the 2nd Mayor Ramon D. Torres Invitational Judo Tournament at the Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines Gym, a Bago City press release said.

The celebrations will end on February 19 with the  46th Charter Day Parade  in the morning  and the Babaylan Festival Street Performance in the afternoon,  followed by the Arena Competition at the City Coliseum.

 The coronation of the  Diwata kag Sota sang Bago will be held simultaneously  with the Babaylan Competition. The awarding ceremony for all city sponsored events will be held after the Babaylan Festival at the coliseum, the press release said.

 ABS-CBN will  also hold its Grand Barangay Kapamilya  at the Bago City  public plaza 7 p.m. on February 19, with  artists Jake Cuenca and Empress Schuck.

 It will be followed by a grand fireworks display to cap the 46th Charter Anniversary of Bago and a party at the park, the press release added.*
