Senior Supt. Allan Guisihan, provincial police director of Negros Occidental, is up for promotion at Camp Crame, while the fate of NBI-Bacolod agent-in-charge Jose Ermie Monsanto remains uncertain.
Monsanto was relieved form his Bacolod post and reinstated, but it is not certain if he will be relieved again, Negros Occidental Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. said yesterday.
Meanwhile, Guisihan admitted that he has already informed the governor of his transfer outside Negros Occidental maybe by March or April, as he prepares to occupy another key position at Camp Crame.
Police records show that Guisihan, Senior Supt. Manuel Felix, deputy regional director for Operations of the Western Visayas police, and Senior Supt. Ronilo Quebrar, executive officer of the PNP Directorate Human Resource and Doctrine Development, are all up for promotion to chief superintendent, which is equivalent to brigadier general in the military.
Guisihan, a Bacoleño, said Marañon has already given his blessings to his new assignment.
He also said the governor prefers another Negrense to replace him as provincial police director of Negros Occidental.
Police records show that Guisihan is now on his 15 month stint as provincial police director.
Guisihan, Quebrar and Felix are all members of the Philippine Military Academy Class 1983.
Quebrar, former director of the Bacolod City Police Office has already been interviewed by the Senior Officer Placement and Promotion Board for his promotion to chief superintendent.*GPB back
