Day of lovers

Last Tuesday, February 14, was again the most celebrated day for people in love. Teenaged daughters of my friends were so excited, wondering if they will receive long-stemmed red roses.

I told them you’re very lucky if you receive three long stemmed roses, because it means he really cares for you.

Going to SM passing bythe City public plazaI saw stalls filled with  flowers for sale. I was really amazed to see vendors very busy selling their lovely flowers, but later in the afternoon, any red flower combined with white was better than nothing.

Young or old, rich or ordinary people, go out at night to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

I attended the 14th anniversary celebration of L’Sea Dimsun’s and Noodle House, where Fr. Humberto Tumbos of St. Joseph Church, Mountain View Subdivision, officiated at the Thanksgiving Mass.

Present were the members of the Ciocon family headed by Roseller and Ditas Ciocon, and children Marides and JB Mapa, Maridel and Mondi Mapa, RCC Jr., Malou Granada and the three cute grandchildren Louise, Nino and Russh, and all the L’Sea employees.

After the mass and blessing a hearty breakfast was served and anniversary gifts were presented. At 11:30, people started arriving to celebrate Valentine’ Day. I observed  really that was a family affair.

The Philippine Veterinary Medical Association headed by Dr. Eduardo Torres and Dr. Kevin Dycoco are holding a conference at  L’Fisher Hotel that offered Valentine’s and anniversary specials, with 14 choices of delicious dishes.

I had to leave at around 9 p.m. as I had two more Valentine parties to attend.
