UCCP celebrates
100 years

BY RENE GENOVE

The United Church of Christ in the Philippines in Valencia, Negros Oriental, will celebrate its Centennial on Feb.25-26, on the theme “Celebrating Christ in Community”.

Administrative Pastor, Rev. Noel Villalba, said their major activities are the centennial parade around Valencia on Feb.25 at 3 p.m. and a concert in the evening featuring the Manila Concert Choir to be held at the Valencia Elementary School Hall.

Villalba said they will celebrate the centennial service at the UCCP Valencia on Feb.26, at 9 a.m., and it will be followed by a fellowship lunch.

The UCCP Valencia was established as an outreach church in 1912 by Rev. William Smith, a Presbyterian missionary based in the then Silliman Institute.*RG
