87th NCAA MVP

From winning gold medals for her alma mater, Trinity Christian, and home province Negros Occidental in the Palarong Pambansa, Nikki Therese Servando continues to make waves in the badminton collegiate scene. Recently she bagged the Most Valuable Player award in the 87th National Collegiate Athletic Association badminton tournament.

A freshman culinary student of De La Salle College of St. Benilde, Servando beat Johanna Rose Aganinta of Emilio Aguinaldo College in the NCAA ladies singles final, 21-2, 21-6 to claim the championship.

Her teammates Danica Rueda and Bettina Abrahan also prevailed over Mikka Molina and Jose Castro of EAC, 21-15, 21-10, to take the women’s doubles title.
