1 killed, 3 wounded
in Canlaon strafing

A tricycle driver died, while six others were injured in vehicular accidents on Sunday and yesterday in Manapla, Ilog and Valladolid, Negros Occidental, police records show.

Cauayan resident Romeo Debulgado , 31, was killed on Sunday when his motorcycle plunged into a 20-foot ravine in Brgy. Dancalan, Ilog, town police chief Inspector Joshua Villasis said.

Debulgado who was on his way home to Brgy. Talacdan, Cauayan, reportedly lost control of his tricycle, and it fell into the ravine, police investigations showed.

Meanwhile, three passengers of a bus and truck driver suffered slight injuries as a result of a vehicular accident yesterday in Brgy. Bagumbayan, Valladolid.

PO2 Norbert Panogalinga said the Ceres Liner passenger bus driven by Emmanuel Pabiona hit the rear portion of Isuzo cargo truck, he had been following. The accident caused slight injuries to three of his six passengers, when both vehicles fell into a canal.

Manuel Robido who was driving the cargo truck, also suffered slight injuries.

Panongalinga, however, said the four victims were released from the Valladolid District Hospital after treatment of their minor injuries.

A motorcycle driver and a commuter were also injured in another vehicular accident at Crossing Central Manapla in Brgy. Purisima, Manapla, police records also showed.

Senior Inspector Edencio Gregorio, Manapla police chief, yesterday said Randy Villanueva,31, was bumped by a motorcycle driven by Ericson Dingcong, while he was getting off from a passenger bus.

Villanueva and Dingcong who suffered injuries in different parts of their bodies, are now being treated at a hospital in Victorias City.*GPB
