GMA Kapuso talents visit Bago

GMA Networks stars from the primetime telebabad show “Legacy” – Mike Tan and Alessandra de Rossi – and Brazilian-Japanese model Fabio Ide, brought smiles and wholesome entertainment to Bago City residents in the GMA Kapuso Night at the Bantayan Park recently, a press release from the station said.

The special event started with a “Kapuso Baranggayan”, that drew a crowd of more than 20,000 Bagonhons, who was entertained by RGMA Campus Radio’s Lady C and DJ’s Papa Marco & Papa Lito, with lots of fun and surprises.

This is third year that GMA has supported the annual festival of Bago City, the press release added.*

Fun run set in Victorias

A charity fun run will be conducted by the Past Pupils Association of St. Mary Mazzarello School in Victorias City, Negros Occidental, at 6 a.m. on March 3, a press release from the group said.

The activity, called “Dalagan Mo, Bulig Mo,” will kick off at the Kadalag-an Coliseum and will end at the Victorias City Plaza. There will be a registration fee of P100 for adults and P50 for participants 17 years old and below.

The run will be for the benefit of the outreach programs of the association, the press release added.*

Seminar on abuse
in workplace held

Ahuman resource management seminar, “The Different Abuses in the Workplace” was held at the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College campus, in Fortune Town, Bacolod City, recently, a press release from the school said.

It was attended by HR personnel from various agencies, schools and companies, and organized by Leonora de la Cruz, director of the ABE International Business College.

Discussed were the forms of abuse in the workplace, the cause and effect on the victims, and the remedies for preventing or stopping them, the press release added.*

Traffic rerouted as
Iglesia holds affair

A minor traffic rerouting will be implemented today in the streets around the Paglaum Sports Complex in Bacolod City, where the members of Iglesia ni Cristo will hold a grand evangelical mission.

Bacolod City Police Traffic Management Unit head, Chief Insp. Luisito Acebuche, said that starting 1 p.m. today, jeepneys going to Brgy. Alijis must turn right to Luzuriaga Street from Araneta Street, before going to Alijis Road.

He said vehicles bound for Brgy. Taculing will turn right to Magsaysay Avenue from Taculing Road, then turn left to Mansilingan Road, turn right to Mabini Street, turn left to Rosario Street going to Araneta, before turning right to Luzuriaga Street, turn right to Lacson, and turn left to Lizares Street.

Jeepneys plying the routes of Bata, Banago and Mandalagan will use San Juan Street going to Lacson Street, then turn left to Magsaysay going to Mabini Street, then turn left to Rosario Street, going to Locsin Street, Acebuche added.

City Police Director, Senior Supt. Ricardo de la Paz, said they are expecting 50,000 to 75,000 INC members to gather at the Paglaum Sports Complex today.

Dela Paz said security preparations for the event are in place and they will deploy uniformed and plain clothes personnel at the venue to ensure that no one or group will mar the activity.

He also said the crisis management committee will be on standby, while fire trucks and ambulances will be dispatched to the Paglaum Sports Complex.*APN
