Student career coaching set

The Public Employment Service Office in Bacolod City will start its career guidance coaching for all high school graduating students this month to prepare them for their course choices for college.

Moises de la Cruz, PESO manager and executive assistant to Mayor Evelio Leonardia, said yesterday that this will help students choose the right course that will allow them to easily secure a job after they graduate.

He said they will show students possible jobs that will be in demand in the next four years. This will be helpful because many college graduates are still unemployed and some are underemployed, de la Cruz added.

He also said that, as directed by Leonardia, the city aims to provide good jobs for college graduates and even those who enroll in two-year courses.

Meanwhile, the Jones International Manpower Services Inc. will conduct an interview for applicants with an employer Friday at Planta Hotel, Bacolod City for skilled jobs abroad, de le Cruz said.

Eiffel Aluminum Factory in Doha, Qatar needs electrical engineers, aluminum fabricator engineers and foremen, aluminum fabricators, stainless steel fabricators, welders, steel painters, household appliance foremen, and press machine operators.
