Ceres XI vs. Kabankalan in
friendly football match

The 2011 PFF Suzuki Cup U23 champion Ceres team will head for Kabankalan city on January 7 for a friendly match against the Kabankalan Football Club.

Gus Rivas of the Kabankalan FC said the game is part of the First Global Kabankalanon Homecoming Celebration, and organized by the committee headed by Mayor Isidro Zayco and co-chaired by Msgr. Vic Rivas.

On January 8, 10 football clubs will also compete in the Sinulog 7-A-Side Football Festival organized by the City of Kabankalan Football Club in cooperation with the Kabankalan Sinulog Foundation and the City Government of Kabankalan.

Up for grabs are the top honors in boys’ 10 Under, Under 14, Under 17, Ladies Open, and Men’s Open.

Among the ball clubs that have confirmed their participation in the 7-a-Side Tournament as of press deadline are: Himamaylan FC, Amlan FC, Dona Juliana FC, Escalante Soccer Team, Escalante FC, Gedds - Iloilo City, Mabinay United FC, Teleperformance, Bago City, and La Salle Ladies Football.*NAB
