Ceres XI vs. Kabankalan in
friendly football match

The 2011 PFF Suzuki Cup U23 champion Ceres team will head for Kabankalan city on January 7 for a friendly match against the Kabankalan Football Club.

Gus Rivas of the Kabankalan FC said the game is part of the First Global Kabankalanon Homecoming Celebration, and organized by the committee headed by Mayor Isidro Zayco and co-chaired by Msgr. Vic Rivas.

On January 8, 10 football clubs will also compete in the Sinulog 7-A-Side Football Festival organized by the City of Kabankalan Football Club in cooperation with the Kabankalan Sinulog Foundation and the City Government of Kabankalan.

Six teams to compete
in Inter-Church cagefest

Six teams will see action when the 2012 Inter-Church Basketball League opens on February 4 in City Heights Athletic Club court in Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City.

Among those that have confirmed their participation in the tournament are Bakyas Evangelical Church, Promise Land Evangelical Church, Word of Ministry, First Mansilingan Baptist Church, Bible Baptist Church and Tangub Christian Missionary, tournament commissioner Nestor Ordonio of Bacolod Christian Center said.

He added that games will be played on Saturdays and Sundays.
