Kabankalan artists
hold exhibition

 Four artists in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental,  will exhibit their worksat the lobby at of the New City Hall of Kabankalan today until Saturday.

The exhibit  titled “Artsand Photos” will feature  artists Daisy Capunong – Hein, Elizabeth Gasataya,Leo “Iyo” Martir Gaudite and Kenny Tañez, a Kabankalan press release said.

The exhibit is also in timed for the opening of the first global Kabankalanon homecoming that also starts today, the press release added.*

Watercolor painting
gab set at museum

Weekend Workshops at the Museum of the Negros Museum in Bacolod City will present “Tampisaw”, a visual-arts workshop on Watercolor Painting with Riyadh-based Negrense artist, Edbon Sevilleno, January 14-16, at the PHINMA Main Gallery, a press release from the NM said.

Tampisaw is a Hiligaynon word, which means “to frolic” or “playfully wade in the water”, that aptly describes this three-day workshop on Watercolor Painting that is open to all watercolor enthusiasts, the press release said.

 Sevilleno,  an advertising executive in the Middle East market,  studied Fine Arts at La Consolacion College–Bacolod and had served as ARFIEN president during his student years.

He spearheaded Guhit Pinoy, a group of OFW illustrators based in countries like  Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, USA, China and in the Philippines. He is also one of the artists who organized Gamefowl Art of Negros naming the exhibit ‘BANGIS’ (Bacolod Negros Gamefowl Artists), which brought more than 60 artworks by 25 different Negrense Artists to the 1st World Gamefowl Expo last January 2011, the press release said.
