New Year’s lunches

buday

For the past few New Year’s days, I had always taken my lunch at Ripples of L’Fisher Hotel with Gena Mapa and Millet de Leon. This New Year’s day, almost all tables were occupied, when we arrived, except some at the Don Ricardo Hall whire we joined the Ciocon family.

Quining and Imelda de la Rama-Gonzales occupied two tables with their clan. Every Sunday and this Sunday of the New Year the long table was occupied by the Manaloto siblings, Teresita, Iding, Mentiong and Lina Lim. There were 15, including balikbayan Moses Reyes from Frisco.

Special guest of the Ciocons were Mr. and Mrs. Roland and Emily Hinolan Morrisseite. Emily is an admin HR manager in Dubai, while Roland, is a Canadian Aircraft engineer. They enjoyed their stay in Bacolod and were impressed by the family-oriented nature of Bacoleños. That day was also the birthday of Malou Ciocon Granada, the only daughter of Delia Granada.

I had to rush home as we had some balikbayan visitors to entertain. Happy Three Kings .

Remember: What a nice world it would be if only everyone will start a day by praying, “Lord, let me not judge each day by the harvest I reap, but by the seed I plant and the good deeds I do and share with others.”*
