Lady of Fatima image to
arrive in Bacolod
The international pilgrim of the image of the Our Lady of Fatima from Lisbon, Portugal will be at the San Sebastian Cathedral in Bacolod City, January 15 to 17, in its pilgrimage in the Philippines, Fr. Felix Pasquin, Diocesan Commission on Social Mass Communications chairman, said yesterday.
Pasquin said the image will arrive at the Bacolod-Silay airport on Jan. 15 at about 1:30 p.m., and be brought to San Diego Parish Church in Silay City for a stopover.
The image will also visit the San Nicholas de Tolentino Parish Church of Talisay City before going to Our Lady of Fatima Church in Bacolod City where Fr. Ernie Larida will lead the welcome and the Sunday mass, Pasquin said.
The church will hold a vigil, praying of the holy rosary, enrolment for the brown scapular, and confessions. The image will stay there for the night, he added.
A procession has been organized from the Our Lady of Fatima Church to the San Sebastian Cathedral at about 10 a.m. on Jan.17 that will be the last church to be visited in Negros Occidental, before its departure to Cebu, Pasquin said.
The image will be accompanied by two official custodians and Msgr. Melvin Castor as the Philippine representative, he added. *LTG
