Nene Rojas celebrates
Well-loved sugar industry leader of Negros, Nene Rojas, marked his birthday with close friends and relatives, a day to remember and a night like no other.
Venue of the celebration was the sprawling poolside garden of the celebrator’s Bacolod estate where he welcomed everyone with open arms and a glass of Spanish wine.
About 300 guests, among them leaders and prominent personalities in business, politics and civic groups attended and extended their heartfelt wishes to the celebrator. Everyone wondered why each birthday seems to make him look younger.
Notables enjoying the good wine, sumptuous food, and soothing music included from Senator Serge Osmena, Negros Occidental Governor Joseph Maranon, Vice Governor Lim-ao Alvarez, Bacolod Mayor Bing Leonardia, former Mayor Manolet and wife Mayor Uding Escalante, Board Member Miller Serondo, SRA Administrator Gina Martin, and Judge Francisco Rodriguez, to name a few. “To see all my family and friends whom I have known for a long time, in my house to celebrate my birthday with me is the best feeling,” Nene said.
A long-time and well-loved president of the National Federation of Sugarcane Planters and the President of the Integrated Sugarcane Growers of Negros, are some of his titles to name a few.
He is married to the former Lourdes Montilla, and father to Francis, Ricky, Murcia Vice Mayor Gerry, Gene, Joseph, Malu, Agnes, Bacolod Councilor Bobby, and Paulo.* |
