Mayor not confirming
raps vs. broadcaster

BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia neither denied or confirmed during a press conference yesterday that he had filed a libel case last week against a local broadcaster.

“I neither confirm or deny it,” he said when asked by reporters.

But Donard Nojas, a block-timer of DYAF and Smile TV, yesterday said the mayor had filed a libel case against him for his “exposé” on alleged bribery and corruption involving some projects of the city with a certain contractor, in an interview over ABS CBN.

He said the case is just a form of “harassment” against him and claimed his expose against the mayor is “well documented.”*CGS
