TOSP to hold youth hours
BY RENE GENOVE

The Outstanding Students of the Philippines–Alumni Community Region VII and RFM Foundation Inc., with the Commission on Higher Education Region VII, will hold Youth Hours 2012 simultaneously in the cities of  Dumaguete and Cebu on January 28.

YH is an annual youth formation workshop focused on the three pillars of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines program. These are academic and professional excellence, leadership, and social responsibility.

This also serves as a marketing tool to signal the start of TOSP 2012 search around the country.

The YH will be participated in by student leaders and administrators from the different Higher Education Institutions in the region who are outstanding in academic, leadership, and social responsibility, TOSP Region VII representative, Rolando Villamero, Jr., said.

Participants from Bohol, Siquijor, and Negros Oriental will have their YH in Foundation University (FU), Dumaguete City. On the other hand, Cebu participants will have theirs in University of San Carlos in Cebu.

To intensify the promotion of TOSP 2012, Cebu will also hold mini-Youth Hours in Northern and Southern Cebu on February 4, and February 11.

TOSP has active alumni groups both in Cebu and Negros Oriental who will facilitate the implementation of the youth workshop.*RG
