BY ADRIAN NEMES III

A suspected carnapper was injured after bystanders in Brgy. 18, Bacolod City mauled him when he tried to steal a motorcycle parked at the compound of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital at about 11:30 p.m. Monday.

Station 2 chief, Senior Insp. Lester Leada identified the suspect as Reihart Tamlimadao, 19, of Brgy. Concepcion in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

Complainant Alberto Barla, Jr. told the police that he caught Tamlidao and his companion, a certain “Edmangay Ramos” trying to steal his 110 cc Honda XRM motorcycle.

Barla said the two ran away when he confronted them, however he caught Tamlidao after bystanders mauled him, but Ramos managed to escape.

Leada said they will check if Tamlidao, who is now detained at the lock-up cell of Police Station 2, have other charges against him or has a pending arrest warrants.

He said they will file carnapping charges against Tamlidao before the Bacolod City Prosecutor’s Office today.*APN
