PhilNITS seminar set

The Philippine National IT Standards Foundation Inc. will hold a seminar on IT Passport Examination Thursday at the LG Sinco IT Audio Visual Rooms, Foundation University, Dumaguete City.

Dean Dae Habalo, of the FU College of Computer Studies, said the Japan Overseas Development Corporation of the Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry of Japan commissioned the seminar. It will be attended by participants from colleges and universities in Negros Oriental and the University of San Carlos in Cebu City.

Habalo said attendance in the seminar is a requirement for those who will take the IT Passport examination on April 29, at Foundation University.

Ma. Corazon Akol, PhilNITS president, said the seminar aims to promote the new PhilNITS IT Certification Project being introduced by the Information Technology Promotions Agency of Japan.

Also Shinichiro Kato, JODC expert, and Alfran Keith Consing will be conducting the seminar.*
