The Philippine Stagers Foundation and the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation is presenting a Filipino Musicale entitled “Cory ng Edsa” until tomorrow at the Lamberto Macias Sports and Cultural Complex and Negros Oriental Convention Center in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

The complete 50- member cast of the “Cory ng Edsa” arrived in Dumaguete with their Director Vincent Tanada.

This is an original Filipino musicale written and inspired by the spirit of democracy and heroism by Tanada.

The cast is composed of exclusive stage artists and performers under the Philippine Stagers Foundation.

Tanada said the target audience of the musicale are high school and college students as majority of the younger generation no longer understand the significance of EDSA to former president Cory Aquino and Filipino democracy.

He added the cast are overwhelmed with the warm welcome from the people of Dumaguete that gives them more motivation for their performance.

Playing the role of former President Cory Aquino is Miss Teen Philippines 2005 Cindy Liper who was recently recognized by Aliw awards.
