Applicants hired on-the-spot

Sixty-nine applicants were hired on the spot at the employers’ interview conducted by three recruitment agencies yesterday at the Masskara Hall of the Government Center in Bacolod City, Moises de la Cruz, manager of Public Employment Service Office said.

De la Cruz, who is an executive assistant to Mayor Evelio Leonardia, said the 57 applicants were hired for Al Ahlia Food Corporation, in Saudi Arabia while Skills International hired eight security guards and four nurses.

He said job seeker should  apply when recruitment agencies are conducting employers interview, because they  bring representatives of the company.

“There are more chances of getting hired immediately if employers conduct the interview, and  they have the authority to choose jobseekers who  will qualify for the positions they need,” de la Cruz said.

Meanwhile, personnel of Skills International will be at PESO today and tomorrow to interview security guards and nurses, while Blazing Star International Manpower Services personnel will screen applicants for customer relations officers and services crew members for McDonald-Kuwait on Jan. 27. *LTG
