PNP releases sketch
of manager’s gunman

BY ADRIAN NEMES III

The Bacolod City Police released yesterday the facial sketch of a gunman who fatally shot a lending firm manager in Brgy. Pahanocoy in the city Friday night.

Based on the facial sketch drawn by the artist of the National Bureau of Investigation, the suspect, a male, is between 25 and 3 years old, stands 5 feet and 7 inches in height, is about 150 lbs in weight and has a brown complexion

The suspect is also described as looking like the decent type, armed with a firearm of unknown caliber, and was wearing black jacket and pants when he shot and killed Josie Genovea, branch manager of the La Carlota based ZFA Lending Corp.

Investigation showed that the suspect, who was Genovea’s co-passenger in the bus she rode from La Carlota City, snatched her bag after she alighted from it in Purok RC Uno and shot her thrice.

The suspect then rode a tricycle and escaped with his two companions bringing Genovea’s bag that contained 9 ATM cards believed to be owned by clients of the lending firm, a small amount of cash, and her personal belongings.

With the release of the facial sketch, City Police Director Senior Supt. Ricardo de la Paz said he believes the suspect will be arrested soon.

De la Paz also appealed to the public to coordinate with the police if they knew the suspect, or if they have an idea of his whereabouts

On Monday, Station 8 commander, Chief Insp. Danilo Francisco was relieved from his post and was replaced by Senior Insp. Jerick Filosofo following the killing of Genovea.*APN
