A man, believed to be a victim of a hit-and-run accident, was found dead at the national highway in Barangay Tampocon, Ayungon, Negros Oriental, at around 5:20 a.m. Wednesday.

The body was identified as that of Ronald Martinez, a resident of Barangay Tampocon 2 in Ayungon.

A police report said his body was found at the national highway in Tampocon but no witnesses were available to give information to investigators.

The police suspect that Martinez was ran over by a still unidentified vehicle, based on bruises and injuries on his body.

His body was brought to the Bindoy District Hospital in Bindoy town for a post-mortem examination.*JFP
