Man hacks drinking pal A man was hospitalized when his drinking buddy allegedly hacked him during an altercation in Moises Padilla town, Negros Occidental at about 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Police identified the victim as George Batomalaque, 41, Brgy. 1 Poblacion, Moises Padilla town, who sustained multiple hack wounds and was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City.
The suspect, Arturo Poras, 32, his neighbor, was apprehended and is now detained at the Moises Padilla town police station.
Investigation showed that Batomalaque was having drinks with Poras when a misunderstanding arise that eventually led to the hacking.
A tanod was also injured when his neighbor hacked him in La Castellana town, Negros Occidental at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The victim, Helario Zamora, 47, of Sitio Old Falabrica in Brgy. Cabagna-an, La Castellana sustained hack wounds on his back and shoulders and was rushed to the town's health center.
The suspect, who was identified only as “Milo Aldea” evaded arrest, the police said.
In Bacolod City , a teenager was also rushed to CLMMRH when he was stabbed in Purok Sigay in Brgy. 2 at about 12:30 a.m. Monday.
Gay Gelisanga, 39, of Purok Lawayan in Brgy. Banago, Bacolod told the police Tuesday that his son was in Purok Sigay when the suspect, an “alias Ryan”, stabbed him for still unknown reasons.*APN

4 ‘wanted men' nabbed
Four men were apprehended by the police in the cities of San Carlos and Bacolod and in Ilog town, Negros Occidental, in the last three days for various criminal offenses.
Rafael Tahum, 35, of Brgy. San Isidro, Buenavista town, Guimaras was apprehended by joint operatives of Bacolod City police stations 2 and 3 and by the Guimaras town police at about 7:30 a.m. yesterday.
Police records show that Tahum was apprehended by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Guimaras Regional Trial Court Judge Merlin Deloria for two counts of frustrated murder.
In Bacolod City, Police Task Force Manhunt arrested Jestoni Liza, 19 at his residence in Purok Lampirong in Brgy. 2 on the strength of an arrest warrant for theft issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Estefanios Libutan at about 5 p.m. Tuesday
In San Carlos City , Domingo Baya, 34, of Sitio Tigbabais in Brgy. Buluangan, was arrested by the police at about 6 a.m. Wednesday for qualified theft.
San Carlos City Regional Trial Court Katherine Go who issued Baya's arrest warrant, set his bail at P30,000.
About four hours later on Wednesday policemen also apprehended Ronilo Guinson, “alias Ronie”, 51, of Sitio Mambuasao in Brgy. Tabu, Ilog town at about 10:30 a.m.
Guinson has an arrest warrant for physical injuries issued by Acting Municipal Circuit Trial Court Judge Rolando Balgos, who set his bail at P5,000.*APN
