Pacquiao, Yap eyed as guests
in 2012 WRAA opening rites
The 2012 Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association will open on March 12 at the Panaad Park and Sports Stadium in Bacolod City with either Manny Pacquiao or James Yap as guest speaker at the opening ceremony.
In yesterday's meeting of the regional sports heads presided by Department of Education Regional Director Mildred Garay, the group presented the plan to invite boxing icon Manny Pacquiao and Negrense basketball superstar James Yap at the opening program.
| DJAAES alumni holds bowlfest The newly-organized Don J Amado Araneta Elementary School Alumni Association will open its 1st DJAAES/BMES Alumni Bowling Tournament at 6 p.nm. tonight at Lopue's East Bowling Center . DJAAES/BMES alumni president Richard Estelita said in a press release that they have at least 10 teams from different batches expected to join the competition. Estelita also encouraged other batches to contact their class officers to organize their own teams and join the bowling tournament. |
