Bacolod teams dominate
Dinagyang bowling tilt

Condura ASSFBI Ladies–Bacolod captured the crown in the women’s division, while LJP Trading - Bacolod starter Abe Leong bagged the master’s title in the battle of the top 30 bowlers of the 10th DUBAI Dinagyang 2012 Open Trio Bowling Tournament” dubbed 2nd Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog Cup” at the St. Elizabeth Bowling Alley in Iloilo City.

Sharp–Bacolod placed second runner-up in the men’s bracket.

The women’s champion composed of Sylvia del Rosario, Juliet Regollo and Lea Javier brought home the title with a victory over Iloilo City Duckpin Bowlers Association represented by Inday Matalote, Glory Gallego, Rachel Cabador and Maredel Manikan in the finals, 371-300.

Javier and Regollo topscored for the Bacolod team with 142 and 129.

Two other Bacolod squads, the Davies Fusion and Tiger Eye II settled for second and third runners-up, after absorbing defeat in the hands of ICBA Ladies.

The Sharp Team–Bacolod managed by Irne Diaz consists Edgar De Leon, Matt Gaudite and Nonoy Hulguin.

In the battle of the tournament’s top 30 bowlers, Abe Leong of NPBC LJP Trading was the luckiest in the field after winning the coveted master bowler plum over Eduard “Otoy” Jardio of Kami Mga Hubin Bowling Club – Bacolod in the title showdown, 120-118.

Thirty-eight teams participated in the two-day spectacle.

Meanwhile, the 2nd Edjie and Maila 4-Man Team Bowling Tournament will unfold tonight at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

A team can field one rated B bowler and three non-rated combination in every game or four class C players.

Registration will start at 5:30 p.m.
