Driver facing raps
for raping daughter

A driver is facing charges for allegedly raping his own daughter twice at their residence in Bacolod City last week.

The police said yesterday that the suspect, 45, whose identity is being withheld, is now detained at Police Station 2 in Bacolod City.

The victim, 20, whose name the police withheld, reported her ordeal to the Women and Children’s Complaints Desk. She was accompanied by her aunt.

Reports said that the suspect threatened the victim with a .38 caliber revolver and raped her on Wednesday and Friday while she was asleep in their house.

In an interview with Aksyon Radyo Bacolod, the suspect admitted the crime and apologized to his daughter claiming that he was under the influence of alcoholic liquor during the incident happened.

WCCD chief, Insp. Jovy Cabcaban said she could not give details on the case as their investigation is ongoing.

Cabcaban said the victim has not yet returned to them to present her medical certificate. She said they will file charges against the suspect once the victim return to their office and presents her medical certificate.*APN
