Free training offered for
aspiring BPO workers

Two residents of the city trained by the Bacolod branch of the Philippine Call Center Institute were among its scholars hired by Business Process Outsourcing companies, a press release from PCCI said.

Gerly Bayles and Febe Monarca were hired by BPO company Aegis People Support.

Both graduates of Carlos Hilado Memorial State College in Alijis, Bacolod City, Bayles and Monarca are working hard to finish their studies to support their siblings, the press release said.

Bayles said she was really thankful that she took the training at PCCI Bacolod…since he really wanted to work In a call center to support her siblings.

Monarca, meanwhile, said that the things that were taught on the training at PCCI Bacolod helped her be more confident.

PCCI was established to address the need to meet the employment opportunities provided by the call center and BPO’s, the press release said.

PCCI Bacolod has been working with the Technical Education Skills Development Authority, in cooperation with Bacolod-Negros Occidental Federation for Information and Communications Technology, for the accreditation of its call center courses.

More seats are available for the free Finishing Course for Call Center Agent at PCCI, the press release said.
