The head of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, Dr. Julius Drilon, thanked Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia for the city’s full support in the great improvement and development of the CLMMRH, a press release from City Hall said.
In his letter to the mayor, Drilon said that the latter’s full support was very instrumental in steering CLMMRH to the right track and because of that, the hospital is now moving towards becoming a provider of quality, accessible, yet affordable health, especially to the poorest of the poor.
The Hospital Chief lamented the state of health care service available at the hospital when he joined it in June of 2011. He said he found the status then “appalling” and that a lot needed to be done, the release also said.
Drilon said CLMMRH looks forward to a stronger teamwork with the city, as they work hand-in-hand towards achieving “Universal Health Care” for Filipinos.
Leonardia, meanwhile, thanked Senator Franklin Drilon for donating P100 million to the CLMMRH for the rehabilitation of the hospital. It is a fact that many patients in the hospital are Bacoleños seeking medical care and hospitalization at a more affordable rate.* back
