Jobless man nabbed in
raid vs. illegal drugs

A jobless man was arrested by the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group after a drug raid on his residence in Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City, at about 7:30 a.m. yesterday.

Armed with a search warrant from Municipal Trial Court in Cities Judge Napoleon Diamante, CAIDSTOG raided the house of Warren Pasco, 27, of Purok Langis in Brgy. Banago.

Occeño said they had conducted two weeks of surveillance on Pasco on information from a concerned citizen that he is into illegal drug operations before the raid.

The raid yielded an elongated sachet of suspected shabu, a small plastic sachet of the banned substance, several empty plastic sachets, a plastic straw used as scoop, a bamboo clip, a disposable lighter and an empty coin purse, police records showed.

Occeño said Pasco’s supplier is from Brgy. 2 but he withheld the name in order not to hamper their ongoing operations. He added that Pasco told the police that he supplies illegal drugs only to his friends and neighbors.

Pasco is now detained at the lock-up cell of the Bacolod City police headquarters, and charges for illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia possession will be filed against him.*APN
