‘New’ Surplus store
opens at SM City

Surplus re-opened its store with a new look at SM City-Bacolod Saturday to provide its customers an exciting new shopping experience.

Ica Dico, Surplus Marketing Manager, said they had hired a consultant two years ago to redo Surplus from what it was before. So now it has a new look, she said.

“This is our 30th branch. It is not a new branch but a new store because we only changed its look,” Dico said.

Customers can get fashion finds at affordable prices here, she said. “Great fashion finds mean we really have the brands,” she said, adding that their stocks came from an excess production stocks of certain brands.

Dico said they cater to the A, B and C markets. “We have men’s and ladies wear and a few accessories. We also cater to teens and adults, the yuppies and working moms.”

The store has a wide entrance with a lighted Surplus image singage to welcome shoppers, as well as oval ceiling panels that create a modern look.

Curved walls and a walk path create a smooth and seamless transition from one area to another, while dark gray floor tiles form a circular spot at the mid part of the store to highlight the merchandise mix, a press release from SM said.

Surplus offer tees, hip and jackets, pairs of shorts and pants, it said.

Women can also find tops, and skirts for everyday wear.

The store also carries a selection of accessories and novelty items like their latest collection of eco-cans and eco-flasks, bags and sneakers, the press release added.*CGS
