Kasanag expands

The Katilingban sang Naghili-usa is expanding its membership across the country, John Chiong, its president and founder, said yesterday.

Chiong attended the formation of KASANAG chapters in Novaliches, Pasay, and Paranaque with the help of pastor-members, a press release from the group said.

KASANAG has 172 chapters nationwide.

It’s heartwarming that a lot of people have shown interest to join KASANAG that advocates attending to the health needs of the poor, Chiong said.

Chiong said with the help of the Philippine Army, the Office of Vice President Jejomar Binay and other donors, KASANAG was able to meet its mission of helping heal the poor.

KASANAG holds regular dental and medical missions, including circumcisions, with feeding programs for the children in Negros and Panay and soon will be in the national capital region, the press release said.*
