Token’s music studio

ivy

Bacolod’s singing diva Token Lizares has just opened her music studio at the MC Metroplex Bldg., BS Aquino Drive in Bacolod City.

During the blessing last June 28, her friends and admirers came in full force to show their love and support for this amazing lady with a big heart.

It’s no secret how Token has been helping so many charities by raising funds through her concerts and pressing her moneyed friends to give more to the needy. It’s a well-known fact that when Token buttonholes you to dig deep in your pockets for the less fortunate, you give and give until it hurts, “with a smile”.

A “victim” once said with a wry smile, “How can you say no to Token?”

Among her many guests at the opening were the Sisters of Charity St. Vincent’s Home to wish her luck in her new business venture. Since 1991, Token has been a member of Damas dela Caridad (Ladies of Charity), an active group of kindhearted ladies who raise funds for the less fortunate through rummage sales, raffles, Token’s concerts, etc. They believe in giving back for the blessings they have received.

Fr. Ruel Jundos officiated at the blessing while ABS-CBN’s Leilani Salem Alba, Ryan Gamboa and Bing Ascalon cut the ribbon. Everyone enjoyed the native merienda at Quan’s, which was full of guests, mostly media people, who are very close to Token’s heart.

She even gave gifts to her guests, who could only shake their heads in amazement at Token’s generosity. Through her new studio, she hopes to discover future singing stars like Jessica Sanchez or Charice Pempengco. With so many talents around, this dream is not so farfetched.

Congrats Token and good luck on your new venture!*
