Overseas jobs bared

The Public Employment Service Office of Bacolod City has posted vacancies for professional and skilled jobs for Manila and Saudi Arabia, PESO manager Moises de la Cruz, said yesterday.

De la Cruz said representatives of Placewell International and YWA Human Resources need nurses, domestic helpers, and skilled workers for Saudi Arabia, while Solaire Resort and Casino Hotel in Manila are in need of hotel workers, receptionists, and attendants.

Overseas recruitment agencies will conduct their initial interviews on July 9 at PESO, while Solaire Resort and Casino Hotel will be at L’Fisher Hotel on July 12 for interviews and screening of applicants, he said.

He said the recruitment of hotel workers and personnel is in preparation for its opening next year at the PAGCOR’s new Entertainment City in Parañaque.

Graduates of hotel and restaurant management and tourism can apply for the job and must prepare their resume, transcript of records, and certificates to apply for the job vacancies, he also said.

Applicants for overseas jobs must also prepare their documents prior to the interview so that company representatives will be able to screen those who qualify for the job, he added.

Meanwhile, the PESO recorded 223 applicants who were hired on the spot during the job fair activity recently at Robinsons Place-Bacolod.

He said the activity was joined by 60 local and overseas companies, which means that Bacolod City has quality graduates and workers.

De la Cruz also reminded applicants to visit PESO at the 2nd Floor of the Bacolod City Hall building at Luzuriaga Street to get more information on the local and overseas job vacancies. *LTG
