The St. John’s Institute football team blanked host Toboso, 3-0, in the 10-Under category then went on to dominate Escalante, 4-1, in the 12-Under final match to capture two titles in the tournament organized in line with Toboso’s 64th Charter Day last week.
Bethany scored for the St. John’s Wild Fox and was awarded the tournament Most Valuable Player award in the 10-Under group, while Jonathan Talbot’s two goals in the 12-Under final also earned him the MVP honors.
Competition in the Boys’ 16-Under was ruled by Domingo Lacson National High School squad, while Rizal team bagged the top prize in the Girls’ 16-Under category.
Also seeing action in the tournament where teams from San Carlos, Sagay, and different ball clubs from Bacolod City.
The winning SJI Wild Fox team is under the tutelage of coaches Peter Talbot and Jun Dayon.*NAB
