New and fun

LA VIDA NEGRENSE

Negrenses can look forward to a new shopping experience as Surplus recently re-opened its store with a new look at SM City Bacolod. Jetting in from Manila for this special occasion were the top executives of Surplus: Aida dela Cruz, vice president, SM Retail Affiliates; Lia Chipeco, Division Merchandise manager; Ica Dico, senior marketing manager; Naomi Llamas, Merchandise manager; and Stephen Rojas, Category Merchandise manager.

Surplus stores nationwide have a common theme, conceptualized by Dela Cruz, who envisioned that they should have an attractive display of merchandise and for better customer flow.

Guests were greeted by store manager Julie Jarmonilla and mall executives, as they were first to shop in the new treasure trove of great fashion finds, a lifestyle that is now, new and fun!*

Rotary Club feeds
Banago children

Two hundred children were treated to a feeding and storytelling activity of the Rotary Club of Bacolod at the Barangay Banago Elementary School gymnasium recently, a press release from the group said.

The children also participated in a storytelling session, pallor games and entertainment prepared by the club headed by Roderick Alba, and attended by RI District 3850 governor Rafael Jocson and past district governor Edgar Sy.

The children's party was in answer to the call of Jocson, who said it is good to start the Rotary Year with simultaneous children’s parties in the district, the press release also said.

Yesterday, the club also held a feeding program to children beneficiaries of a medical mission sponsored by ABS-CBN Bacolod and Bantay Bata 613 at 888 Event Center, the press release added.*
