NFL resets Trimaxi, Real clash

Heavy rains made the Ayala North Point pitch unplayable last Sunday, prompting tournament officials of the 2nd Conference of the North Football League to reschedule the game between Trimaxi-Agro and Real Negrense.

The officials declared a force majeure, a ruling that will reset the scores of the game back to zero and erase the two goals scored by

Troy Fegidero in the 11th and 23rd minutes for Trimaxi.

Referree Assessor Dennis Estaniel said they allotted 45 minutes for the field to recover but the water did not subside. This prompted the officials to declare a for majeure.

A statement from the league said that in circumstance of force majeure, a team must have a lead of at least 3-0 upon the game’s stoppage to be declared a winner.

Also with the field’s unplayable condition, the match between powerhouse clubs Ceres and Dynamic Builders were suspended.

Tournament manager Ramon Janeo said the matches between Trimaxi and Real, as well as Ceres and Dynamic Builders will be played on July 15 starting at 3 p.m.

Meanwhile, prior to the heavy rains, Las Buenas Football Club managed to hold Silver Dragon FC to a 1-1 draw.

Francis Rebacca of the Silver Dragon broke the ice in the 41st minute but Ronevic Palermo equalized the game for La Buenas in the 49th.*NAB
