Negros Occidental Police Provincial Director, Senior Supt. Alan Guisihan, was officially relieved of his post yesterday to assume a higher position at the Police Regional Office-6 in Iloilo City.

PRO-6 Deputy Director for Administration Senior Supt. Manuel Felix yesterday said Guisihan will be the officer-in-charge of the Office of the Chief Regional Directorial Staff, which has been vacant for almost a month now.

The post to be assumed by Guisihan was formerly occupied by Senior Supt. Wesley Barayuga, who was promoted to deputy regional director for Operations, replacing Felix, who took over his present position from retired Chief Supt. Ernesto Tesoro in July.moremoremore

Bing’s wish: Growth,
dev’t  for Bacolod

BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

“How I wish to see that Bacolod City continues its growth and development by leaps and bounds and that the future administrations and generations will continue to contribute to make the city among the premier and most progressive cities in the Philippines.”

This was what Mayor Evelio Leonardia wished for in his birthday yesterday, the 12th he has celebrated as local chief executive of Bacolod.

Leonardia recalled that every time he made a birthday wish, practically all of them came true, citing the Bacolod City College, the new slaughterhouse, relocation site, sanitary landfill, northbound terminal, and the government center, among others.moremoremore

No Grupo Progreso rift
Despite no show of 3 councilors – mayor
BY ADRIAN NEMES III

Three Bacolod councilors, who are close political allies of Mayor Evelio Leonardia, failed to attend his birthday celebration at the Forest Park Resort in Bacolod City yesterday, fueling speculations of a rift within Grupo Progreso.

But Leonardia and the councilors doused speculations, insisting that there is no rift.

Councilor Al Victor Espino admitted that he and councilors Dindo Ramos and Homer Bais intentionally did not go to Leonardia’s birthday party to avoid former Bacolod Vice Mayor Renecito Novero, who attended the event.moremoremore
