Japan donates
football equipment

The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental received football items and supplies donated by JEB Entertainment Co. Ltd. of Japan intended for the development of football sport in the grassroots level in the province, a press release from the Capitol said.

Provincial Sports Coordinator and Executive Assistant to the Governor, Angel Verdeflor said that four boxes of football items and supplies arrived from Japan, recently.

Expressing his gratitude to donor Sugao Kambe, technical director of JEB Entertainment, in a letter, Gov. Alfredo Marañon said the equipment will greatly help football athletes in the province and encourage competition among the youth, the press release said.

The donation, the governor said, is a gesture of support to Negros Occidental’s football program and in its effort to produce international football players in the near future.

The donated items were turned over by Marañon to Visayan Football League chairman Junie Lizares for distribution to different football teams in the province.*
