bowlfest lead

BCNHS Class ’89, NOHS C’85, and NOHS C’70/71 Combined kept the No.1 spot in their respective divisions of the Triangular Bowlfest For Unity 2012 at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The BCNHS ’89 pin crushers spearheaded by Nonoy Hulguin and Maila Balayo is holding the top post in the premiere class A category with 6,028 points, while NOHS C’85 anchored by Iran Pielago, and NOHS C’70/71 led by Bonnie Alcala and Vita de Paula topped bracket B and C with 5,830 and 5,730, respectively.

Rounding out the competitors in rated A are BCHS ’79 with 5,981; DLNHS C’75, 5,881; BCHS ‘72/76 Combined, 5,863; NOHS C’73/74, 5,848; NOHS C’82/86/89, 5,795; NOHS ‘66/67, 5,729; BCNHS ’85, 5,682; BCHS ’73, 5,600, and DLNHS ‘71/72/79, 5,200.

With NOHS ’85 in bracket B are BCNHS C’90, 5,817; NOHS C’97, 5,756; BCHS ’74, 5,684; NOHS Golden, 5,679; DLNHS ’73, 5,621; NOHS 2000-Up, 5,599; NOHS ’68, 5,582; BCNHS ’81, 5,461 and DLNHS ’77, 5,446.

Lined up with NOHS ‘70/71 in category C are DLNHS C’78, 5,663; BCHS ’67, 5,567; NOHS ’80, 5,496; NOHS ’95, 5,482; BCHS ’68, 5,306; DLNHS ’92, 5,117; BCNHS ’86, 5,554; BCHS ’75, 5,028, and NOHS B’99, 4,904.

BCNHS ’89 and DLNHS ’75 established the team’s highest single and triple with 574 and 1,586, apiece.

Tournament record holders in the individual competition are Hernand Garciniego of NOHS Class ‘73/74 squad in highest pinning with 94, and BCHS ’74 starter Norman Pineda in single and triple with 161 and 386 in the men’s bracket.

Holding the records in the distaff corner is BCNHS B’89 Maila Balayo in pinning with 92, 133 and 348 in single and triple, respectively.

The final top five teams to vie for the title in an up-the-ladder championship on July 29 will be known on Sunday.*
