Athletic directors of NOPSSCEA-member schools will meet 3 p.m. today at the West Negros University GGA Audio Visual Room to finalize their plans for this year’s competition.

NOPSSCEA sports committee chairman Anthony Carlo Agustin said they will discuss, among others, the list of events each school will participate, date of submission of documents, calendar of sports activities and the obligation of every member-school.

The 32nd Negros Occidental Private School Sports Cultural Educational Association Season is set to open on September 7, but Agustin said they plan to hold the collegiate basketball competition earlier in time for the champion team to prepare for the 2012 Philippine Collegiate Championship League regionals.

Aside from basketball, sports disciplines included in NOPSSCEA’s list are: arnis, athletics, badminton, chess, football, karate-do, lawn tennis, sepak takraw, swimming, taekwondo, table tennis, volleyball and beach volleyball.

The tentative schedule for the submission of eligibility documents will be from August 25-30. while the screening of these documents will be on August 31.
