25 teams set to join
Open Trio bowfest

The Open Trio Bowling Tournament rolls off tonight at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City with 25 teams seeing action in the premiere rated division, non-rated and women’s categories.

Leading the teams vying for the title is Suppliers Friendship Cup 2012 champion Sharp with three team in each division.

The top four teams in Bracket A, B and ladies department after the 12-scheduled games eliminations will compete in an up-the-ladder system for the championship.

Sharp head Irne Diaz said gift certificates and trophies will be awarded to record holders in the team’s highest single, triple; individual highest pinning, single and triple in the men and women’s department, top 10 players, and master bowlers.

Meanwhile, Gap Penafiel of Bago City Bowlers Association and Juliet Regollo of Condura ASSFBI emerged as champion in the 1st Active Solid Strikers Fellowship Bowlers Inc. “Singles Fun Game” at the New Top’s Millennium Plaza Alley.

Penafiel prevailed over Cecil Ramon Silverio of ASSFBI in the men’s bracket, while Regollo defeated Precy Pillo and Cecil Biendo in the distaff side.

Manny Sa-onoy and Butch Iberio were second and third runners-up.*HLG
