DepEd official’s
hearing may be in Iloilo

BY CARLA GOMEZ

The Department of Education will conduct the hearing of formal administrative charges recommended against a district supervisor in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, at the DepEd regional office in Iloilo.

This was disclosed by DepEd regional director Mildred Garay yesterday after the five-man investigation team of the DepEd in Region 6 found probable cause to pursue the administrative complaints against Joshua Santillana, 55, who was nabbed in an alleged drug den in Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City, on May 31.

Garay said the DepEd legal unit will study if Santillana should be suspended during the administrative hearing.

Due process will be followed, she said.*CPG
